 Buttercup News

Volunteers are needed for two projects this spring/summer at Buttercup Farm Audubon Center and Sanctuary. The first is monitoring the Breeding Bird Survey (BBS) route. This trail is along the two railroad beds on the west side and is separate from the Breeding Bird Atlas. The second project is monitoring nest boxes, located on both sides of the sanctuary.

A “Friends of Buttercup” support group is also being planned. This group will focus on fundraising events, volunteer activities, and events to increase local awareness of the presence and importance of the sanctuary.

In celebration of International Migratory Bird Day, there will be a walk on Saturday, May 10, 2003. Meet at the West parking lot at 7AM. This walk will be in conjunction with our Birdathon.

For more information on any of the above, please contact , Asst. Warden/Educator.
