This bird was found by Francis Van Auken and reported to Florence Germond on March 17, 1978. It had been there about a week and stayed until the 21st. The adult male in spring plumage was the first county record for Mountain Bluebird and the third record for the state at the time. A report was submitted to NYSARC and accepted.
