Iceland Gull
Indian Lake, Town of Northeast, December 5-7, 2005
Photos by Bill Case

On Monday December 5, 2005 Dot Fleury found a first year Iceland Gull on Indian Lake in the Town of
Northeast.  It was there a few days and was last seen Wednesday afternoon December 7.
Indian Lake is on the Dutchess/Connecticut border.  You can see the lake from the road along the east shore... County Route 62 which goes south out of Millerton goes into Connecticut, where it becomes Rte. 361.

Iceland Gulls normally winter further north along the coast.  However, first and second year birds often wander farther south and occasionally into Dutchess County.
