Acadian Flycatcher
Deep Hollow, June 12, 1973

Photographer unknown

On June 12, 1973, Margaret Bowman and Patricia Bunch found two pairs singing, and during the following week at least one pair built a nest in Deep Hollow, Amenia (Kingbird, 1976).  That nest was the first found in New York State since the Acadian had retreated further south during the 1920s.  They have expanded since into New England.
