Join
hundreds of your neighbors who share a passion for birds! Through
weekly walks and other activities, the Ralph T. Waterman Bird Club
focuses on helping people see and enjoy birds, as well as educating
local residents and lawmakers on wildlife and environmental issues.
For a full description of the club's objectives and activities,
see our What We Do page.
As
a member, you will receive our monthly newsletter, Wings Over
Dutchess, including our annual member list and membership
updates whenever they are published. Members who provide us with
their e-mail address receive club announcements and alerts via e-mail.
And when you join the club, you will also receive a copy of our
reference guide, When and Where: The Birds of Dutchess County.
This comprehensive checklist includes bar graphs indicating
the abundance of each species throughout the year, as well as nesting
and habitat information. You'll also have access to our extensive
library of bird and nature books. Our annual dues are
$20 for individual or family memberships and cover the period from
November 1 through October 31.
Most
of all, you will be part of a large and growing community of birders
who share your enthusiasm for birds and the beautiful area in which
we live.
